Dr Farhana Moushumi is an experienced Specialist General Practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical experience and a special interest in women's health. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based and culturally sensitive care, supporting women through every stage of life. As a dedicated Family GP, she focuses on preventative health, continuity of care and empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Dr Moushumi is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), as well as a Master of Public Health. Before entering general practice, she completed extensive hospital-based training in obstetrics and gynaecology across Queensland and New South Wales, providing her with a strong foundation in comprehensive women's healthcare.
Her clinical interests include contraception, Mirena® and Implanon® insertion and removal, cervical screening, menstrual and menopausal health, preconception counselling, antenatal and postnatal care, and the management of common gynaecological conditions. She also provides comprehensive general practice care, including health assessments, chronic disease management, mental health support and family healthcare. Dr Moushumi speaks English, Bengali and Hindi, enabling her to provide personalised care to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
